Print width depends on the fabric you choose. Check it on the product page before preparing your file — the full width of a woven or knitted fabric may be greater than the area available for printing.
What should you allow for in your layout?
- The dimensions of each piece including seam allowances.
- Any necessary gaps between pieces.
- The direction of the design and the correct orientation of the pattern pieces.
- The print width of the chosen fabric.
For example, with a print width of 150 cm, three pieces measuring 50 cm each will fit side by side only if their dimensions already include all allowances and no additional gaps are needed. This is a calculation example, not a specification for the entire range.
Can you rotate a piece?
Not always. Rotating it can change the direction of the design or how the fabric stretches and drapes. Check the requirements of your sewing pattern first.
What if your project is too wide?
Choose a wider fabric, change the layout or plan to join pieces together. For a large printed panel, decide on a solution before ordering the print.
Start by choosing a fabric from the fabric catalogue. If you are unsure which one is suitable, see our guide to choosing fabric.
